What Has Washington Done For Me?

I don't have a job and I don't get unemployment benefits. I don't have health insurance and my partner can not put me on hers. I don't own a home anymore and my retirement savings are gone. Due to a recent medical emergency I do have $35,000 worth of health related debt.

Last night Jon Stewart did what all news shows should have been doing for months. He talked to 9?11 first responders about the non passage of the bill that would give some financial relief for the health issues that these deserving men and women face due to 9/11.
